This seminar is aimed at showing students how to maximise their marks for different types of questions they'll encounter in the 2022 exam.

Gavin Duffy – author of Down To Business (Folens) LC textbook, Exam Solutions for Leaving Cert Business (CJFallon) and the Business page on The Business Guys ( held a seminar not to be missed for 2021 candidates preparing for this year's paper.

A combination of all of his course expertise combined with his unique insight in to the leaving cert paper itself having retaken the paper in 2018, 2019 and 2021 achieving H1s, will make this course cover everything you need to maximise your score in your 2022 Leaving Cert Business exam! 

What will happen in the course?

  • A look at each section of the exam and the choices you have, time available, topics that are in each section (Shorts, ABQ, Long Qs)
  • A look at the different ways questions are asked - when you should use headings, when you should use examples, when you should link in businesses - each verb asked is examined with sample answers given and common mistakes made for each shown
  • Some predicted questions will be worked through - looking at how you break down a question before answering it and then what is required for the various verbs
  • A look at some past paper questions from the 2018, 2019 and 2021 exam with examiners grading on them to see where marks are gained and lost in the Leaving Cert exam itself

What will I get for attending?

  • A manual with how to tackle the different ways questions get asked in the Leaving Cert exam using real life exam answers and marks to illustrate this
  • Sample answers to some predicted questions for 2022
  • Copies of some 2018, 2019 and 2021 answers from my H1 scripts
